Without trying to be corny, my parents are the reason I paint. Their lovely gallery with its walls of skillful paintings, was inspiring to me as a child and remains so now. I painted this illustration for the shop’s website and would, of course, encourage art lovers to visit the website or visit the gallery in Kent.
Watercolour illustration of Ightham Mote. Kent is full of fascinating old houses. Painstakingly restored by the National Trust, it is an intriguing visit and a lovely place for walks. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ightham-mote

Another local treasure. The childhood home of Anne Boleyn near Edenbridge, Kent. This wonderful castle even has a maze. This illustration of Hever Castle is painted in watercolour.
