Katherine Tyrer, Illustrator
I am a freelance artist and illustrator, based in Sevenoaks, near London, with a B.A. (First Class Hons.) in Art History and a BTEC diploma in Fine Art. I began drawing and painting as a child, my art dealer parents encouraging me, but also offering helpful and honest guidance, to develop my skills from an early age. I was inspired by the antique art they collected, and learned to draw from observation of our family pets.
My original hand drawn sketches and paintings, as well as other products featuring my designs, are available for purchase through the online store. You will find original dog paintings for sale and original animal and wildlife illustrations and artwork.
You will find examples of food illustration and watercolour illustrations of people and places. I can help you build your brand or business with unique bespoke artwork for editorial, product, packaging, branding, website design and pattern design. I have worked with companies and retailers to produce custom artwork and welcome enquiries regarding licensing or illustration projects. I was the illustrator behind Hudson and Middleton’s best-selling dog and cat mug range.
I also accept orders for private commissions, providing hand painted artwork for weddings, party invitations and events. You will find some examples of my pet portraiture here, as well as advice on how to place a commission and contact me for hand drawn portrait prices.
